After your first consultation, all future appointments are FREE, either before or after surgery however many times you need to talk things through.

We recommend at least 2 consultations before surgery, the 1st of which can be any time - even years in advance. The 2nd consultation should be closer to surgery. Your surgery booking form will then be submitted, any special equipment or implants ordered, and final arrangements made.

What is the cancellation policy?

You may make changes to your appointment up to 24 hours in advance without charge. If you cancel your appointment you will receive a refund minus bank processing fees. You will not be charged any fee to reschedule more than 24 hours in advance. If you fail to attend, cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice you may be charged a non-refundable fee of £50.

What are the surgical procedure costs?

Costs for operations are essentially 3 components:

  • Mr Sawyer’s charges
  • Anaesthetist charges (if applicable)
  • Private hospital charges (which include medical equipment, nursing care, the operating theatre costs, hotel costs).

The quote for surgery will be sent with a breakdown of the specific charges relevant to you personally, as there may be variations in individual circumstances. Prices vary slightly between the different hospitals.

Price ranges for specific procedures are shown on the procedure page.

I am insured, what should I do?

Mr Sawyer is registered as a provider with all the major medical insurance companies.  The fees charged are in keeping with the remuneration offered by the insurance companies and no additional fees will be charged to the patient unless their policy has exclusions such e.g. outpatient consultations, suture removal, medication.

You will need to obtain an authorisation code from your insurance company before any consultation or procedure to confirm that your provider is covering you.

Mr Sawyer and his team will provide you with surgical procedure codes which you give to your insurer.
